This year marks the 29th Gilbert Chamber of Commerce Community Excellence Awards. These awards offer a unique and special opportunity to recognize the contributions of community members in a wide variety of roles, including educators, community leaders, and volunteers.

For Gilbert Public Schools, this annual event is a chance to celebrate the contributions of GPS educators, support staff, and volunteers. Each year, our community has the opportunity to nominate and recognize the contributions of those who make a positive difference in their school and our wider community. The winners are announced and recognized at a banquet held in November, where they are celebrated, surrounded by their family and peers. At GPS, our awards take on an extra special significance, named in honor of some of the incredible individuals who have made our district what it is today.

This year, nominations are already open and will be accepted through August 28, 2025.

Please read on for details of each award and a link to the nomination form. We invite you to take a moment today to nominate a GPS teacher, staff member, or volunteer who makes a difference!
