Teacher Spotlight - Lisa Hart, Kindergarten | Schedule a Tour!

Hello! I am Lisa Hart, and I am honored to be a Kindergarten teacher here at Patterson Elementary. I have been teaching for 35 years, and even after three decades, the excitement of watching students learn something new never gets old - it’s contagious! My goal is to foster that natural curiosity and watch my students grow by leaps and bounds each year.
One of my favorite traditions in our classroom is when we incubate and hatch baby chicks. I love watching the anticipation build as the students count down the days until the chicks finally arrive. There is nothing quite like the joy on their faces when they finally get to see, and eventually hold, our new feathered friends!
As a long-time Gilbert resident, I absolutely love the Patterson community. When I’m not in the classroom, I stay busy with my own creative projects, like making custom t-shirts. I also love staying active through hiking and working out!
Quick Tip for Parents:
You can help your child feel ready for the big world of school by encouraging independence. Practice simple tasks at home like dressing themselves, packing and unpacking their own backpacks, and opening items in their lunch. Teaching them how to confidently ask for help is another wonderful skill that will serve them well all year long!
I can’t wait to welcome your little learner to my classroom for a year full of discovery and growth.
Kindergarten enrollment is now open! To learn more about the Kindergarten experience at Patterson, schedule a tour at Patterson.GilbertSchools.net/Tour.
